Niobium Rod

Description

Niobium rod, also known as niobium bar, is machined from niobium ingot to the final dimensions. Forging, rolling, swaging and drawing are used in single or in combination to reach the desired size. Niobium rod is generally coated with a forged surface or a swaged or drawn finish. If requested, annealed niobium rod is also available for customers. It is widely used in chemistry, electronics, aviation and aerospace industry.

Application

Featuring high ductility, superconductivity, high melting point, excellent anti-corrosion property and workability in cold environment, niobium rod can be utilized as nozzles and structural parts for airplane engines, inside elements and protection material for nuclear reactor, anti-corrosion parts under strong acid or environment. Besides, the hardness and antioxidant properties of niobium rod can be greatly improved by adding zirconium in niobium.
