With the trend towards miniaturization in the electronics industry, the capacitors used in these devices can achieve more functions. Tantalum capacitor powder can fulfill its need to reach great capacitance in smaller spaces. We can offer sodium-reduced tantalum powder for low and medium capacitors and magnesium-reduced one for high-capacitance capacitors.
Application
Tantalum powder can be divided into two categories. One is tantalum capacitor powder, and the other is metallurgical grade tantalum powder.
1. Tantalum capacitors for electronic circuits are used in:
1) Medical appliances such as hearing aids and pacemakers
2) Automotive components such as ABS, airbag activation, engine management modules and GPS
3) Portable electronics e.g. laptop computers, cellular/mobile phones, video cameras, digital still cameras
4) Other equipment such as DVD players, flat screen TVs, games consoles, battery chargers, power rectifiers, cellular/mobile phone signal masts and oil well probes
2. Metallurgical tantalum powder is used for making tantalum foils and tantalum wires.
